typographic logos work because they generally emphasize the company's identity more efficiently. There are no graphics or extravagant ornaments to distract from the message. It builds up the name rather than an image to represent the name. It is more direct.

There is a certain freedom about street art in that it usually originates from the minds and feelings of the creator. Whether its about life, death, politics, and or any message the artist wants to get across, Street art is their way of communicating. In regard to its use in branding trends, Street Art has no real specification in its design. If anything, all street art strives to be thought provoking.

I like the punk/street logo design. I like the extreme sports that this logo is intended for. This logo design style reminds me of the clothing store Pac-Sun. I like to shop at Pac-Sun so I see this "street art" design on a lot of my t-shirts. I also, see this logo design in the X-games, which is an extreme sport competition. I used to street BMX so I enjoy watching the X-games. I notice that during the games I see a lot of street art design.
